Beyond Infinity is an immersive installation created by French artist/architect Serge Salat. By using panels of mirrors, shifting lights, cubic shapes and music he creates a multi-sensory experience that combines Eastern Chinese with Western Renaissance.
French artist Bernard Pras’s latest installation is a portrait of Malian actor Sotigui Kouyate. It is anamorphic, which is an illusion that can only be viewed from a specific vantage point. He used clothes, paint, wood, rubber, and other objects to fill an entire room and is only clearly visible through the lens of his camera.
Fabulous condom installation from Irish artist Bryan McCormack to help raise AIDS awareness recently at Centre Pompidou in Paris. Preservation is Life involves 80,000 condoms each pulled over a cylindrical lightbulb which vary in colour, with hues changing on every floor. Outstanding!
IRIS creates various patterns along with control over the amount (size) of passing lights, through the phased opening and closing of circular, black Liquid Crystal. IRIS is an interactive medium for visual simplicity which uses the passage of ambient light, not emission of light itself.
