Electricity Comes From Other Planets – Fred Deakin
Documentary short film exploring the latest work called Electricity Comes From Other Planets from visual artist and musician Fred Deakin, in his new interactive installation for the Joe Le Joue (Play Along) exhibition at La Gaite Lyrique gallery in Paris, France’s cultural centre for digital arts and music.
Fred & Company transformed La Gaîté’s 21-meter-long projection wall into an animated interactive instrument-machine. Eight glowing, responsive “planets” are echoed in mirrors. By moving around the floor space in front of these planets, visitors can mix new musical compositions and trigger entrancing visual effects.
